Who is this work for?

People who are:
-
sensitive women & non-binary folks trying to live with authenticity & presence in a challenging world
-
interested in inner exploration and growth
-
curious about exploring experience through a mindful, body-based, earth-aware lens
What is this work not for?*

-
an active mental health crisis
-
severe mental/emotional health issues
-
active substance abuse issues
-
current suicidal thoughts
*If you're struggling with one of these challenges, it doesn't necessarily mean we can't work together. It's possible mindful somatic inquiry could be a good addition to your work with a licensed mental health clinician. But because areas like this are particularly sensitive terrain, they require more support than what mindful somatic inquiry can offer on its own.

If you're unsure about whether we'd be a good fit, please reach out with any questions. If you resonate with my approach but require the support of a licensed mental health clinician, I recommend checking the Hakomi Practitioner Directory.
A Few
Important Notes
Sabbaticals
I take regular sabbaticals (sometimes several months off at a time) for field work and creative projects. I am unavailable for sessions and generally unavailable for communications during these times. I will post a notice on the "Contact" page of my website with sabbatical dates if I am currently unavailable.
About Our Work Together
The work I offer is a form of assisted self-study, not psychotherapy or mental health care. Think of our time together as a blend of guided self-meditation, contemplative coaching, and therapeutic somatics - all happening within a healing relational environment.
My role is to offer you space to engage with mindful experiences, tools, and support that can help facilitate your own ongoing process of embodied self-discovery and healing. This is a client-empowering process, and it’s a good fit for folks who feel like they're on the edge of some new discovery, but just need some help getting there. It can be deeply healing work for many people, and it's important to know that it doesn't offer the same kind of intensive support as psychotherapy and isn't meant to replace the need for mental health care.
